Team TOBA High Performance

Team Mandate: SCMB’s highest level of Competitive skaters who are striving to achieve podium results at Skate Canada qualifying competitions. Continued focus on technical, artistic, and skating skills in relation to: Skate Canada’s LTAD model – (Learn to Compete & Train to Compete)


Skaters who achieved the following technical scores in the given timeline (dates below)

*ALL skaters MUST have achieved the current year Challenge Minimum CMS as set out by Skate Canada

  • Pre-Novice: Women 20, Men 17
  • Novice: Women 23, Men 23
  • Junior: Women 26.5, Men 28
  • Senior: Women 32, Men 35.5

Junior Skater MUST be landing double axel. Report cards, or video submission required for confirmation.

Senior Skater MUST be landing double axel and one triple. Report cards, or video submission required for confirmation.

-Must commit to 4-6 weeks of summer training in 2017


  • Team TOBA Seminar – 2 days
  • Sports Psychology sessions
  • Strength and Conditioning 1x per week with quarterly fitness test, and personalized plans
  • Opportunities for financial rewards as per Skate Canada Manitoba policies
  • Challenge Prep Seminar (for those qualifying for Challenge)
  • Training Bursts Opportunities
  • Monitoring @ 1 competition; ability to send video submissions to Technical Director for feedback (2x per year)
  • Yearly Plan to be submitted by June 1st
