Club Coach (CanSkate) Clinic:


  1. Be a registered Skate Canada Member
  2. Must have passed at least one complete STAR 5 test
  3. Be at least 16 years of age
  4. Successfully complete the NCCP CanSkate Pre-Course Training Module –  instructions will be emailed to all participants once registration deadline has passed.

Regional Coach (Primary STARSkate) Clinic


  1. Must be a Skate Canada Professional Coach in good standing with Skate Canada.
  2. Must be CanSkate Certified
  3. Must have passed one Complete Senior Bronze STARSkate Test OR STAR 5 Freeskate Assessment + one additional STAR 5 Assessment

CanPowerSkate Coach

The NCCP CanPowerSkate context prepares coaches to enhance skating skill development at the Learn to Train stage of development for the sports of hockey and ringette. Coaches will also be trained to deliver the CanPowerSkate program.  Biomechanics and skill analysis are further developed.  Coaches in this context must wear hockey skates and gloves, and  bring a hockey or ringette stick to the course.


  1. Be a Skate Canada registrant or current Skate Canada Coach in good standing.
  2. Be at least 16 years of age
  3. Skate Canada, Hockey Canada or Ringette Canada NCCP status
