The Coaches Committee & Competitive Committee are pleased to announce the development of a new mentorship opportunity for coaches pursuing their National Coach certification.
This coach development opportunity will be held during the second day of the High Performance team seminar on Sunday May 5th 2019. Through observation of High Performance lessons and sessions during the seminar we hope coaches will gain valuable knowledge to assist in obtaining their National Coach certification.
Applications will be accepted until April 12, 2019 and only selected individual(s) will be contacted.
Applicant(s) will be selected based on meeting the following criteria:
• In good standing with Skate Canada
• Registered to attend day 1 of seminar (May 4, 2019)
• Shows initiative in pursuing National Coach Certification
• Active in sport specific professional development opportunities (eLearning, attending seminars and ice summit, etc…)
• Has athlete on Development Team or skater(s) competing in Juvenile or higher during current season
• Minimum certification level of Provincial Coach Trained
Please note not all applicants meeting the criteria above will be selected. Selection will be a maximum of two (2) individuals. Successful applicants will be responsible for any and all travel expenses to attend the seminar.
