Jen Jackson

Jennifer Jackson, a figure skating coach since September 1987, began her coaching journey in Windsor, Ontario. Transitioning to HSC in July 2014, she earned recognition as the Western Ontario Competitive Coach of the Year in 2011 and holds a sectional level Technical Specialist title in singles. Jennifer’s coaching expertise spans from CanSkate to Senior levels, with her students achieving success at Challenge, Nationals, international competitions, and the Canada Games. She is known for conducting coaching education seminars across Canada, emphasizing grassroots coaching in smaller areas or clubs. Jennifer’s coaching philosophy centers on creating athletes who can problem-solve and persevere. Her approach involves providing tools for skaters to reach their goals, with an evolving role that becomes a partnership and guidance as skaters mature. Jennifer encourages embracing challenges and learning from mistakes, fostering a supportive yet challenging environment. Breken Brezden

Breken Brezden discovered her passion for figure skating at the age of four in her hometown of Dauphin, Manitoba. Currently residing and training in Hamilton, she competes in the Senior Women’s Singles category for Skate Manitoba in the 2023-2024 season. Alongside her dedication to figure skating, Breken has taken on the challenge of pursuing higher education and is currently attending McMaster University in Hamilton. Her story is one of talent, perseverance, and a commitment to both athletic and academic pursuits.

Off Ice Clinician:

Jaimi Deleau

Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Jaimi Deleau joined Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet company in 2014 and has since been promoted to Soloist in 2022. Career role highlights for Jaimi include the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, The Wicked Witch in The Wizard Of OZ, The Queen in Snow White, and Pas De Trios from Swan Lake. When Jaimi is not dancing she enjoys teaching ballet to all ages, spending time with her fiancé and family, and pursuing her degree in Kinesiology at the University of Winnipeg.
