NICOLE BURT

Nicole is a well known skater & coach in Canada. Born and raised in Newfoundland, Nicole grew up competing as a Novice competitive singles skater and Intermediate level synchro skater. At 19, she started making synchro her priority and joined Nexxice Senior where they earned a world silver medal. From there, she has been coaching & skating synchro in many different places, from Newfoundland to Calgary to Toronto. Her focus has been primarily in synchronized skating, having coached teams as high as the National level, but not limited to just that as she has worked with skaters at every level in the discipline. She has been the synchro coordinator at Skate Ontario, camp coordinator with OneTeamMVMT, and is now the Technical Director at her home club back in Newfoundland. Nicole’s biggest focus as a coach is with GOE & Program Components and working with her teams & skaters to best understand how the quality of their skating holds equal or greater value over the technical elements alone. Nicole takes great pride in growing her athletes to not only be high quality skaters, but good well-rounded people as well. The joy of skating is there for everyone to participate in and should be shared and enjoyed for life!
