About Us: *
The Dauphin Skating Club delivers programs from Intro to Canskate, Canskate and STAR skate. Our program has been well established in the community for many years.
We are seeking coaches for all our programs.
Requirements To Apply: *
NCCP Canskate coach- in training or higher.
Regionally certified coach.
All coaches should be registered with Skate Canada, in good standing and provide proof of current certification.

Roles & Responsibilities of selected coach: *

The coach agrees to provide skating instruction to all registered skating members of the club.
The coach will be responsible for on ice planning and execution of skating programs for the club as set out within the requirements of Skate Canada.
The coach will be responsible for planning and training of program assistants.
The coach shall at all times conduct themselves in a professional manner and abide by Skate Canada coaches code of ethics.
The coach will communicate and work with the Board of Directors.
Skills:

The successful candidate will possess the following skills: *
Orgainized, Dependable, Strong leadership skills, effective communication, work well with people of all ages (from children to adults) and have the ability to provide a safe and fun environment for our skaters.
Time Commitment: *
Our skating season runs from October to March.

Currently,
Intro to Canskate – once weekly for 30 minutes.
Canskate – once weekly for 45 minutes.
Next Level/Intro to STAR skate – once weekly for 60 minutes.
STAR Skate – twice weekly for 2 hours, and an additional early morning skate once a week for 1.5hours.

About Us: *

Hazelridge Skating Club is located in the Rural Municipality of Springfield,MB . We are located 30 minutes from the city of Winnipeg. We are a volunteer-run club that provides skating opportunities for skaters from the surrounding area. Programs are offered for skaters of all levels and ages. Programs offered are Pre-CanSkate ,CanSkate, PowerSkate, STAR and Synchro.

We are actively seeking coaches who are enthusiastic, motivated, reliable and committed with a passion for coaching in a team environment.
Minimum Qualifications
NCCP CanSkate -In Training Status or Higher
Registered Skate Canada Coach in Good Standing with proof of a Valid Certification from the CAC Locker.
Regional Coach will need to have proof of STAR 1-5 Assessment Training

Roles & Responsibilities of selected coach: *

Coach required to teach CanSkate skills using progressions and assess skills. Adhere to the CanSkate delivery standards.
Help with implementing club special events.
Communicate with executive and parents on skating matters.
Provide skaters with a fun and encouraging learning experience.

Skills:

The successful candidate will possess the following skills: *

Great communication skills. Commitment to developing skaters in a positive environment.
Other training in skating / off-ice or computer skills (working with a web site & advertisements) would be an asset to the club.

Group Programs operate on Sunday and Tuesday.

About Us: *
We are a skating School on the south side of Winnipeg, not far from the University of Manitoba. We offer primarily CanSkate through our Skating School. We have a strong core coaching team and are looking to expand our coaching staff to allow more skaters to join our programs as we have long waitlists.
Requirements To Apply: *
We are looking for another CanSkate Trained coach or higher to join our team of coaches. Must be in good standing with Skate Canada.
NCCP Certification Level *
  • CanSkate Coach
Roles & Responsibilities of selected coach: *
Teach a lesson station for our CanSkate & Pre-CanSkate Programs. The coach will be expected to write report cards for one group per session they coach on.
Skills:

The successful candidate will possess the following skills: *
Must be independent and dependable. Will need good written and oral communication skills to be able to work as a part of our CanSkate coaching team. French speaking would be an asset (not required).
Time Commitment: *
Wednesdays 4-5pm and/or 5-6:35pm. We run 3 back to back CanSkate Classes.
Starting ASAP until December 16 or start in January. Our Winter Program runs January 6- March 10
